Celtic had to settle for a point in Perth after a 0-0 draw with a spirited St Johnstone who gave the Scottish champions a real run for their money.

Celtic had plenty of chances of their own and James Forrest should have got on the scoresheet in an eventful second half when he rounded Saints keeper Alan Mannus, but managed to miss the unguarded net from six yards.
