RONNY DEILA wants Celtic to follow Scotland's Euro zone lead.

The Hoops boss has set his players this challenge after watching Gordon Strachan's side defeat Georgia then draw with Poland by adopting a close-passing, high-tempo game which made possession king.

He said: "Scotland were fantastic and it's good to see a Scottish team play like that. They believe in themselves, were good on the ball, and kept possession. That's how we want to be as well. Scotland showed it's possible to go out and dictate games.

"It's how to develop players. When you see Scotland, it's not boys, it's men. They looked like a team that's hard to beat."

The bonus for Celtic is they share the same captain and leader as Scotland, Scott Brown, the man who left his club team-mates in no doubt they have to raise their game after losing to

Hamilton in their last match before the break.

Deila expects to see a reaction when they face Ross County tomorrow.

However, he is still assessing the condition of his players. Some, like Efe Ambrose, Wakaso Mubuarak and Emilio Izaguire, did not return from playing for their countries until today.

Better news is Charlie Mulgrew, Mikael Lustig and Adam Matthews are all set to return after injury, while James Forrest could also be in line for his first start since August.

Brown's inspirational form was at the heart of all that was good about Scotland in Warsaw.

However, Deila knows their league position is disappointing and that it can't be left to one man to revive Celtic's fortunes.

By the time they kick off in Dingwall, they could be nine points behind Hamilton if the Lanarkshire pacesetters defeat Aberdeen tonight.

But Deila is confident the "evolution not revolution" he is overseeing is starting to show results, even if they do still struggle for consistency.

What he does not need is to see the side he is building broken up in the next transfer window.

He insists the club are in control of the situation over players like Kris Commons, who is in the final year of his contract.

But former boss Neil Lennon has already indicated he could be back at Parkhead looking to lure some stars to Bolton.

And Arsenal are again reported to be set to test Celtic's resolve with a big offer for Virgil van Dijk.

Deila is focusing on adding players and not stressing about losing any. He said: "We will have interest in players at other clubs, so it's give and take. Hopefully, we can then be in a better position than we are now."
