CELTIC'S Europa League tie against Astra in Romania went ahead on Thursday night despite dense fog enveloping the Marion Anastasovici Stadium in Giurgiu.
The game kicked off bang on the scheduled 6pm start in Giurgiu, on the border with Bulgaria, with much of Romania having been hit by freezing fog, including the capital, Bucharest, where Ronny Deila's side trained last night.
Celtic completed the two-hour road trip to Giurgiu this afternoon, but were met with more fog.
The match referee gave himself extra time to decide whether or not the game could be played - a decision which turned out to be wise as the teams took to the pitch with the fog still a concern.
Celtic have named their team for the clash. It is: Gordon, Lustig, Denayer, van Dijk, Izaguirre, Brown, Mulgrew, McGregor, Johansen, Wakaso, Scepovic.
Celtic manager Ronny Deila would have been relieved the game finally got the go-ahead because the Hoops meet Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Sunday in a 12.45pm kick-off.
