VIRGIL VAN DIJK must get his game head on for Celtic if he's to fulfill his great potential.
That is the view of ex-Hoops hitman Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, who has urged his fellow countryman to focus on life in Paradise after the transfer window closed with the coveted centre-half still at Parkhead despite major interest from England.
Vennegoor reckons Van Dijk must concentrate on becoming better for Celtic before considering a move.
He said: "There is a lot interest in him and I don't know what the agreement is between the club and him.
"I watched the Maribor game and you can see he is a big powerful guy - like Rio Ferdinand.
"Now just needs to get his head down and play. He's already impressive. Virgil is big and strong and has a bit of Dutch pride in him, if you know what I mean. I like that."
