PUPILS from schools in Scotland which have helped tackle sectarianism were rewarded today.
The children from Cumbernauld, Wishaw, Strathaven, Carluke and Newton Mearns were praised by Justice Minister Cathy Jamieson for taking a positive and creative stance in tackling the problem.
The children - finalists in the Scottish Executive's anti-sectarian slogan competition which received entries from more than 1300 youngsters - were presented with awards at a ceremony in Edinburgh's Dynamic Earth.
Ms Jamieson said: "Clearly the anti-sectarian message is now getting across to all our communities."
