Eid Ul-Fitr, known as Eid, is at the end of the month-long Ramadan festival when Muslims fast during the day.
Organisers hailed Saturday's Eid on the Drive event in Albert Drive in Pollokshields a success as revellers, including non-Muslims, enjoyed the attractions.
Families took in street events such as fashion shows but the highlight was a lantern parade and fireworks.
Organiser Na'eem Raza said: "It was an absolutely fantastic event," adding, "the wider community joined in to show the diversity of what Islam is all about."
Sisters Maymoona, 20, Alia, 18, and Juveria,19, Ashraf enjoyed the occasion.
Maymoona said: "We've just been fasting for a month, it ended in a massive celebration."
Mum of five Parveen Mushtaq, 38, of the West End said: "It's something different."
Non Muslims who got involved included Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.
Police said there was no disorder at the event.
