"Keith Brown confirmed that there are absolutely no plans to close any railway stations in Glasgow"

THE last few days have been extremely busy in Scottish politics, both locally and nationally.

First, on the basis that all politics is local, let me start with some very welcome news for Glasgow.

I was delighted that Keith Brown, the minister for transport, used a speech in the Scottish Parliament to confirm what he has said all along: that there are absolutely no plans or intentions on the part of the Scottish Government to close any railway stations in Glasgow.
