Ty Speer joined the OC in November 2012 to lead the Games' commercial programme including ticketing.
Glasgow 2014's commercial programme has exceeded £100m having attracted sponsorship from a range of blue-chip and international brands including BP, Ford, SSE, and Virgin Media.
In addition in its launch phase Glasgow 2014's ticketing programme saw more than 2.3 million requests for up to one million tickets generating unprecedented public demand.
He will leave the Organising Committee next week and will be relocating in coming weeks to pursue a new non-event related opportunity overseas.
Glasgow 2014 Chief Executive David Grevemberg, said: "Ty has led a successful commercial programme and his knowledge and experience have been great assets to the Organising Committee.

Before joining Glasgow 2014 Ty was Client Services Director of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and was a General Manager Sales and Commercial for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games.
