PRIMARY pupils in the South Side celebrated Glasgow 2014 with a special carnival.
The youngsters at Gowanbank Primary donned brightly coloured costumes and performed dances inspired by some of the Commonwealth countries, including Kenya, Australia, India and Jamaica.
All the pupils at the school took part in dance classes with instructor Sean Murphy, who choreographed the showcase.
They have also created artwork to decorate the school and have researched the countries for the project.
The Commonwealth Carnival event was funded by a £1000 grant from Celebrate - a fund set up to support activities to mark Glasgow 2014.
Everyone in the school got involved in the project with each child performing and all the staff pitching in to prepare for the show.
They invited pupils from the neighbouring Cleeves Primary to watch the show, as well as parents and carers.
Principal teacher Amanda Clubley said: "The children have been brilliant.
"They have thoroughly enjoyed it.
"It was so emotional watching them perform, they have given 110% and it was great to see them working together as a team."
