Great Britain's youngest Winter Paralympian Millie Knight will be among the batonbearers for the Queen's Baton Relay ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in July.

The 15-year-old skier, who carried the flag in the opening ceremony in Sochi last month, is one of a number of past and present Olympians confirmed for the role on Wednesday.

London 2012 boxing bronze medallist Anthony Ogogo, 2000 triple jump gold medallist Jonathan Edwards and 1976 10000m bronze medallist Brendan Foster are among those who will also be afforded the honour.

The baton is due to arrive in England on May 31 to begin the last leg of the relay which will continue to Scotland on June 14. It will travel over 190,000km through 69 nations and territories of the Commonwealth.

As well as established athletes, the baton will also be carried by people who have been nominated for their outstanding work within their local communities.

Dame Kelly Holmes, president of Commonwealth Games England, said: "Our England Batonbearers are going to play a crucial part when the Queen's Baton Relay arrives in England on May 31.

"They have all been selected due to their passion for sport and the way in which they share this with their communities and look to get people involved and active."
