Hurtling through the air fully clothed at 140mph would usually be enough to satisfy most thrillseekers.
But adrenaline junkie Kieron Elliott, a breakfast show host with Glasgow radio station 96.3 Rock Radio, has vowed to do his skydive in the nude.
His hair-raising stunt in the middle of winter will raise cash for the charity Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, which uses the healing power of music as therapy to help children and adults in need.
The 33-year-old presenter said: "We were just trying to think up something unusual which would capture people's attention. I'm now regretting suggesting it, it was just sheer stupidity.
"I'm going to be wearing gloves for holding on in the plane and boots because you need them for landing, but apart from that it'll be all systems go, in the buff.
"I'm jumping with a camera girl who will film the jump - which I'm more concerned about."
Earlier in the year Kieron embarked on the Cannonball Run across the USA with the station's managing director Billy Anderson. The road trip from New York to Los Angeles in a Ford Mustang took six days and raised £4000 for the charity.
Daredevil Kieron has already completed 110 jumps at the Strathallan Parachute Centre in Perthshire where he will do the naked skydive.
But today he admitted his main concern was stripping-off before he boards the aircraft on December 15.
He said: "I'm a licensed skydiver and have been doing it for a couple of years so I'm not that bothered about the jump.
"The thing I'm most worried about is the plane ride up there. There's no door, so I can't take anything into the plane with me or it will blow away.
"I'll just have to walk to the end of the airstrip then undress."
The Baillieston-based radio station hopes to raise £20,000 for Nordoff-Robbins' Scottish centres over the next two years.
The charity has three Scottish bases including one in Govan.
Donald Macleod, chairman of Nordoff-Robbins fundraising committee in Scotland said: "I'm delighted that Rock Radio are involved with the charity, to not only raise much needed funds but also to raise awareness of the great work our therapists carry out."
