TV duo Ant and Dec are up against themselves for a top entertainment gong with two nominations in the same category.

The pair's Saturday Night Takeaway will compete against I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! for the best entertainment programme prize at the National Television Awards, together with Celebrity Juice and The Graham Norton Show.

The Geordie stars are also up for the best entertainment presenter prize at the awards bash on Wednesday January 22, defending the title they have picked up for 12 consecutive years.

They face competition from Dermot O'Leary, the host of the awards show staged at London's O2 Arena and broadcast by ITV, together with Keith Lemon, Alan Carr and Graham Norton.

Competing for the top drama trophy are Doctor Who, alongside Downton Abbey, Call The Midwife and Broadchurch.

Broadchurch is up for further honours with both its stars - David Tennant and Olivia Coleman - nominated for the newly introduced best TV detective award, Idris Elba for Luther, Bradley Walsh for Law and Order: UK, Scott And Bailey's Suranne Jones and Benedict Cumberbatch for Sherlock.

Cumberbatch has been included in the list despite no new editions of the show being screened during the qualifying period.
