Damon Albarn has announced that he will release his first official solo album in April.
After years of releases with Blur and a number of collaborations and spin-offs, he is finally to release a studio album under his own name.
He said the album, Everyday Robots, will come out on April 28 with a message posted on his Twitter feed.
He has already given fans a teaser of his work with a short black and white clip which he posted on YouTube featuring him seated at a piano.
Albarn has been involved in a number of side projects beyond Blur - whose last studio album came out in 2003 - including his The Good, The Bad And The Queen album, his Mali Music collaboration and Gorillaz.
He has also released soundtracks to the stage productions he has scored, Monkey: Journey To The West and Dr Dee.
