Guitar legend Eric Clapton will play The SSE Hydro in Glasgow in the summer.

The singer will play at the venue on Saturday, June 21.

The 68-year-old began his career as a professional musician after signing with the Yardbirds in 1963.

Since then, he has been involved with numerous bands, and released an abundance of albums.

In 2013, he released Old Sock, his first album since 2010, which featured a collection of some of Clapton's favourite songs spanning from his childhood to present day.

Tickets for the Glasgow show go on sale on Friday, January 31, at 9am, priced £56 to £67.20 (inc. admin fee).

Tickets are available from www.thehydro.com or 0844 395 4000.
