THE Red Hot Chilli Pipers are set to release a cover of a chart hit after more than a million people watched the Glasgow performance online.
The Scottish piping group covered dance artist Avicii's Wake Me Up on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show when it broadcast from the city to announce that Glasgow would be this year's Big Weekend host.
The group, which has gained international acclaim for its distinctive sound, took to the stage during Nick Grimshaw's show in front of an audience of pupils from St Mungo's Academy.
The Radio 1 Breakfast Show then championed the song and, following the support, the video has gone viral, attracting one million hits on YouTube.
On the back of this, the band have decided to release their song as an official single.
