Young entrants at an annual Glasgow festival showed off their skills yesterday.
The Glasgow Music Festival, which is run by a team of volunteers, is now in its 102nd year and showcases the skills of musicians, dancers and speakers from the Glasgow area.
Yesterday's events saw a series of premier instrumental performances, as well as a mix of young music classes showing off their talents in front of an audience.
Jenny Laidlaw, chairwoman of Glasgow Music Festival, said: "We had a really interesting day.
"Part of it was a very young class of young instrumentalists, who were all very good and very keen.
"In the afternoon, we had a superb premier class in woodwind and brass and a stunning premier string class.
"The performers in these sections are people who have won their classes over the last few days, so they really are top notch."
The events aim it to give young musicians a chance to perform in public and gain confidence when playing to a live audience.
Spread over a five venues across Glasgow, it attracts more than 7,000 people to the city each year.
