Gillian Furmage's verdict: five stars

Cementing his status as a superstar, Justin Timberlake brought his superb 20:20 experience tour to Glasgow tonight.

If you had to sum up Justin's performance, voice, and dance moves in one word, it would be...smooth.

From his early Mouseketeer days and his fresh-faced stint as part of N'Sync, Timberlake has become a consummate professional. The entire set was flawless.

With an ice-cool, futuristic opening, the show started with Pusher Lover Girl. Timberlake, flanked by his incredible Tennessee Kids band, looked dapper in a suit and bow tie.

Delighting fans, Timberlake then launched into Rock Your Body, which led into Future/Sex/Love sounds.

Love You Like I Live You received one of the best reactions of the night, with even the most reluctant of the crowd getting to their feet for a boogie.

Timberlake began a rendition of My Love with just him, a spotlight and a piano, and here he was really able to show off his vocals.

Hits TKO, Lovestoned and a snippet of the Jay Z collaboration Holy Grail followed, which was mashed up with the intro to fan favourite Cry Me A River.

In the second half of the show, Timberlake turned his attention to the fans and joked that '90% of the time I've been to Scotland I don't even remember what happened... You guys love a drink.'

The crowd were then treated to an up-close experience with Justin as a part of the stage was raised and then moved through the Hydro while he belted out Senorita.

Timberlake performed two unexpected covers - Michael Jackson's Human Nature and Elvis' Heartbreak Hotel, all the while really getting into the spirit of things- chatting to the audience and even doing a shot.

The rest of the set included What Goes Around, Take Back the Night, and a fantastic, jazzy medley that featured Jungle Boogie and Poison.

The final three songs - Suit and Tie, Sexyback and Mirrors - kept the audience dancing and were the perfect end to an incredible show.

A 10/10 experience and a thoroughly classy affair.
