X Factor supremo Simon Cowell has said the birth of his son has given him his "mojo back" after he struggled with depression.
Cowell, whose son Eric was born on Valentine's Day, said his arrival had changed his life.
He told the Sun: "The house is full of people. There is something about the noise of people around you that triggers something back to when you were a kid in my house. That is probably what I am going through at the moment and why I am embracing it so easily.
"Everyone said it must be turning your life upside-down but I love it. I love a bit of chaos. It makes life interesting."
The music mogul said that previously he had been living a "weird existence" but has put that behind him.
He said: "Now the house has become a home rather than a house. I think in a weird way I probably needed that."
Cowell also refused to rule out marriage to his partner, New Yorker Lauren Silverman, whom he met while in the United States.
His other hit show, Britain's Got Talent, launches this weekend on ITV.
