THE lastest big names to join the Radio 1's Big Weekend line-up have been announced.
Dutch DJs Tiesto and Martin Garrix will play on Friday May 23 in George Square to kick-start the three-day music festival.
They will be part of a party in the city centre hosted by Radio 1 DJs Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Zane Lowe and Danny Howard.
DJ Garrix said: "I'm super excited to be part of Radio 1's Big Weekend in Glasgow. I'm looking forward to playing for my fans in the UK again."
Tiesto added: "I can't wait to party with everyone in Glasgow. See you all soon."
A total of 14,000 tickets for the free event at George Square were given away to music fans last month and were snapped up in less than 40 minutes.
Radio 1's Big Weekend is visiting Glasgow to celebrate the city's hosting of the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Following the Friday night dance party in George Square, a host of big names, including Coldplay, Pharrell Williams, Rita Ora, Paolo Nutini and The 1975 will perform at two outdoor gigs on Glasgow Green.
Jason Carter, Head of Live Events and Music at the BBC, said: "This year's Radio 1's Big Weekend will be the biggest line-up we have ever delivered."
The event is part of the BBC's year-long contribution to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
