FORMER Rangers captain Fernando Ricksen, who recently revealed he was battling motor neurone disease, held a book signing at Braehead yesterday.
Ricksen, 37, was at the Waterstones bookstore in the shopping centre signing his book Fighting Spirit.
The book tells of his constant breaches of discipline during his football career in the Netherlands, Scotland and Russia, as well as episodes of drink and drug taking.
It also reveals his determination to fight the harrowing effects of motor neurone disease.
The condition afflicted Celtic star Jimmy Johnstone, as well as former Leeds United boss Don Revie.
