A Star Wars fan has changed his name to Han Solo in honour of the movie series' fictional bounty hunter.
The 34-year-old - formerly Dominic Kimberley - of Stourbridge in the West Midlands now goes by the name of the character made famous by Hollywood A-lister Harrison Ford.
Han said he had just received a bank card featuring his new title, however he was unable to get a passport because the name is based on a fictional character.
Mr Solo, a fan of the original films, said his mother Catherine was initially less than impressed but has now come around to the idea.
"She said 'you've gone a galaxy too far this time'," he said.
"But she saw the funny side."
While he is not planning on swapping back to his given name any time soon, he has not ruled out changing to "something else" in the future, he added.
