A is for… Arctic Monkeys.

Frontman Alex Turner told the Evening Times yesterday how the Sheffield band are now more "equipped" for headlining festivals. With a hefty back catalogue to dip into, their Sunday finale should be stunning.

B is for… Brighton. Brighton duo Royal Blood delivered an almighty racket on this year's NME Tour, and now they're heading for T.

C is for… Clyro. As in Biffy, obviously, who celebrate a long journey from T Break to Main Stage headliners tomorrow. Expect a triumphant, anthemic display.

D is for… Dressing Up. Fancy Dress Friday has become a T tradition - this year folk should indulge their silver screen side as part of Lights, Camera Action.

E is for… Ellie. Ellie Goulding went supernova with second album Halcyon, and her transformation from folk tinged singer to party pop princess continues tomorrow.

F is for… Farewell to Balado. This will be the last ever T at Balado, after 18 years, and organisers are promising a fitting farewell.

G is for… Guitar Heroes. There's plenty of guitar-slinging groups at T - few will get a bigger reaction that homegrown heroes Twin Atlantic, though. The Glasgow boys are future headliners.

H is for… Harris. Superstar DJ Calvin is one of the world's biggest hit-makers, so expect a bombardment of chart smashes in Saturday night's headline slot.

I is for…Icy cool. So much of T's line-up is geared towards a big party, but London Grammar's Sunday set should provide the perfect comedown, aided by Hannah Reid's haunting voice.

J is for… James. Ahead of a Hydro date in November, Tim Booth and company return with both familiar classics and tunes from new album La Petite Mort.

K is for… Kaleidoscope Fields. A hub that includes the BBC Introducing stage and the chance to grab nourishing grub at Healthy T. Venison burgers, anyone?

L is for… Lauren Mayberry. The Chrvches front woman brings her band and their stylish synth-pop to T fresh from a run of American dates.

M is for… Manics. Their new Kraut-rock inspired Futurology album is their best in some years, and the Manic Street Preachers seemed revitalised when they headlined Barrowland earlier this year. They'll get folk jumping tomorrow.

N is for… Nutini. The bold Paolo returns with a Saturday night slot, fresh off his finest album yet with Caustic Love. A celebratory set of rough-hewn pop soul awaits.

O is for… On the way up. Vigo Thieves play powerful sing-a-long rock and the LaFontaines whip together pop and hip-hop. They're two of Scotland's rowdiest bands and big things lie ahead.

P is for… Pharrell. Pop's man of the moment returns, fresh from a Big Weekend appearance in May. A string of hits should get everyone feeling Happy.

Q is for… Queens of Cool. The Haim sisters will deliver a summery start to T tomorrow with tunes like Falling, oozing rock star cool for good measure.

R is for… Rapping with a difference. The Stand Comedy Club is presenting comedy rap battles throughout the weekend, as top comics attempt some hip hop wit.

S is for… Scottish talent.There's established festival veterans like Franz Ferdinand playing, but the brightest young bands in Scotland can be found further down the bill, like the Amazing Snakeheads and Model Airplanes.

T is for… Treating Yourself. T's Refresh section will have hairdressers and beauticians on hand to keep you looking good all weekend.

U is for… Unsigned Talent. The T Break stage features some of Scotland's best undiscovered talent. Take a chance and you might find something special.

V is for… View from the ferris wheel. The ferris wheel is an iconic part of T, so take a ride on it and see all that's beneath you.

W is for… Weller. Playing his umpteenth T, the Modfather recently released a second greatest hits from his solo career. A fair few of them should figure on Sunday, along with the odd Jam and Style Council tracks.

X is for… XCX. As in Charli XCX, the English singer who's worked with the likes of Iggy Azalea, has a third album due later this year and opens up T tomorrow afternoon.

Y is for… . Young Blood. The lead single from Sophie Ellis Bextor's surprisingly excellent Wanderlust album is certain to get an airing when the songstress plays on Saturday.

Z is for….Zzzzz. What you'll be doing on Monday after such a long wild weekend
