THE Big Picnic, Bill Brydon's play about the First World War, is to be shown in Glasgow 20 years after it was first produced in the city.

BBC Scotland filmed it in a shipyard shed in Govan and screened it on Armistice Day in 1995, its only screening.

It is being shown at Glasgow Film Theatre on August 4.
