Robert Carlyle both directs and plays the leading role in the macabre comedy as Barney, the hapless barber-turned-accidental serial killer, alongside actors Emma Thompson as his overbearing mother and Ray Winstone as the ruthless detective inspector.
The film premiered on the opening night of the Edinburgh Film Festival last month and is due out in cinemas on Friday July 24.
