Amber Taylor, 14, was so keen to meet the video blogger at his book signing session that when she heard he was going to be at the intu Braehead mall she made the journey across the water and turned up two hours early to make sure she was at the front of the queue.

Glasgow Times:
And just as well, because Amber and her dad, Stirling immediately made a car dash to Cairnryan to catch the ferry back home after she had met Marcus and got a signed copy of his book, Hello Life!.
Marcus, who has an amazing 3.7 million subscribers to his internet video blog, was at the intu Braehead shopping and leisure centre, yesterday to meet his fans.
Although bookstore Waterstones only had 500 wristbands available for fans to meet Marcus - and they were snapped up within days – almost 1000 people turned up to catch a glimpse of him.

Glasgow Times:
The central atrium was packed with fans and the queue stretched all the way along the mall as Marcus met his fans in the centre’s marketing suite.
Amber said: “I had tried to get a ticket for Marcus’s book signing in Belfast, but that was sold out. Then when we saw he was appearing at intu Braehead we decided to come over to Glasgow for a few days so I could meet him.
“I watch all of Marcus’s video blogs and I can’t wait for him to post a new one, so I can watch that.
“He’s got a great personality and his video blogs are very funny. I was really excited about meeting him and it was worth coming all the way from Donegal.”

Glasgow Times:

Second in the queue to meet Marcus was 12-year-old Riona Reid, from Johnstone, Renfrewshire.

She said:“I watch Marcus’s videos every day and I had butterflies in my stomach with the excitement of getting to meet him.
“He’s just a normal person who videos himself going about his daily life. He can be funny, have a rant, but he can also be serious about his life and he’s very honest.”

Glasgow Times:

Marketing manager for intu Braehead, Christine Macdonald said: “The turnout for Marcus was amazing. Waterstones were inundated with people phoning asking for wristbands, but there were only 500 available which went within hours.
“There was a great buzz around the centre and you could feel the excitement in the malls created by the hundreds of people queuing to see Marcus.”
