Comedian and TV star Patrick Kielty says celebrities all think they are more important than they actually are.
Talking ahead of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, he told the Radio Times: "Performers really need to put what they do into context - it's a job, it's a very nice job."
Kielty, from Dundrum, Co Down, rose to fame doing stand-up comedy and is married to British TV star Cat Deeley.
"There was always a little bit of a spark between us," he explains, "but either she was with someone or I was with someone and by the time we were both single she was in America."
"It was always one of those things that never worked out."
The pair ended up dating and getting married in September 2012 at a ceremony in Rome.
Work commitments on both sides of the pond mean he travels frequently between the UK and USA.
Despite gruelling schedules though, the couple never spend more than two weeks apart.
"We only plan two or three months in advance, because we want to be together - it's a nice way to live."
