Hollywood star Will Smith has denied reports he is set to divorce his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

There has been years of speculation that the couple's relationship is on the verge of ending.

But the two-time Oscar nominee posted a message on his Facebook page in a bid to dispel the rumours.

Smith wrote: "Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness. (Because it's contagious) But, so many people have extended me their "deepest condolences" that I figured - "What the hell ... I can be foolish, too!"

"So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness ... Jada and I are ... NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! : -)

"I promise you all - if I ever decide to divorce my Queen - I SWEAR I'll tell you myself!"

The 46-year-old actor and director added: "â?ª#Dumbâ?¬ People Should Have to Wear Scarlet D's."

He married Pinkett Smith in 1997 and they have a son, Jaden, and a daughter, Willow.
