Celebrity Big Brother presenter Rylan Clark says this year's line-up is so strong, even controversial contestant Perez Hilton would be intimidated by them.

Speaking from inside the newly revamped house at the official launch of this year's show, he said of the US celebrity blogger: "If Perez was in this house, I think he'd be scared. There might be nine Perez Hiltons, you never know - there's definitely a couple!"

Hilton's January, 2015 stay in the house was marked by frequent clashes with British reality TV star Katie Hopkins.

Clark is hoping for more Transatlantic fireworks when the reality series' UK vs USA theme begins on Thursday August 27 on Channel 5.

"You can see the easy divide; you've got Britain there and America there so do I think it's going to cause a bit of conflict," he said.

On the subject of a possible romance between the housemates, the 26-year-old said: "We love a little Transatlantic love-in, don't we? It could happen - that's the thing about Celebrity Big Brother, especially since it's been on Channel 5, over the last three or four years, we've started to see romances. You never really got that before."

Although Clark wouldn't be drawn on the identities of the housemates (rumoured to include X Factor's Stevi Ritchie and Chloe Jasmine, Loose Women's Sherrie Hewson, American model Janice Dickinson, actor Daniel Baldwin and wrestling star Hulk Hogan), he did reveal that some of them are exhibitionists: "I think it's safe to say we'll see quite a lot of flesh this series; there's always the characters who have no inhibitions or reservations about treating it like their own house."

Asked about his dream UK and US contestants, the Essex-born personality admitted that he wanted fellow This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes to sign up: "I would love to see Eamonn in there. You never know, he might be going in!"

The US housemate he would most love to see would be President Barack Obama.

Winner of Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, Clark will continue to present the spin-off programme, Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side.

"The line-up this year - I'm so happy I'm a viewer. I'm really excited that not only do I get to watch it, but I get to talk about it every night," he gushed.
