Tweets you thought you would never see...world pop superstar Justin Bieber sending his congratulations to Ireland's national football team.

The Republic of Ireland stunned football fans after securing a 1-0 win against world champions Germany at the Aviva Stadium last night.

Super-sub Shane Long goal sealed the victory putting former Hoops manager Martin O'Neill's side into the play-off against Poland on Sunday.

And their win has not gone unnoticed by Bieber who tweeted: "Love to my brother Keano and the Irish squad on a big win today. Got this vid of them listening to #WhatDoYouMean after the win. Love it."

Former Celtic star Robbie Keane is captain of MLS side LA Galaxy whose games often attract Hollywood's elite including Bieber.

Bieber also posted a video of the Ireland team on their bus. In the video, Keane can be heard saying, "We are the world champions. Who are the world champions?" as Bieber's number one worldwide hit What Do You Mean plays in the background.
