Sir Bruce Forsyth is to reunite with Tess Daly for a special Strictly Come Dancing as part of BBC Children In Need.

The star-studded extravaganza will include an exclusive appearance from US singer and actress Selena Gomez, performing Same Old Love.

Sir Bruce, who is recovering after a fall at his home last week, will return to front a unique edition of the show he hosted for 10 years until 2014.

The 87-year-old star suffered facial cuts and minor concussion and was ordered to rest for at least a week after he slipped and fell on Thursday.

This year, Jenny Agutter, Laura Main, Stephen McGann and Jack Ashton from popular BBC One drama Call The Midwife will undergo a Strictly makeover and take to the dance floor.

The quartet will go head-to-head to win the Pudsey Glitter Ball trophy and raise money for children's charities.

Glasgow Times:

Sir Terry Wogan will be joined by Daly, Fearne Cotton, Rochelle Humes and Nick Grimshaw for BBC Children In Need on Friday November 13.

Broadcast live from the BBC, the event is set to bring some of the biggest names in showbusiness together.

In a one-off special, comedian Harry Hill will take viewers on a whirlwind tour of the history of TV in his own inimitable style.

Multi award-winning singer Ellie Goulding will be live in the studio with an exclusive performance of her forthcoming single Army, while music legend Rod Stewart will treat the audience to his new song Way Back Home.

Pop bands Westlife and Girls Aloud will collide as band members Shane Filan and Nadine Coyle perform their duet I Could Be for the first time on UK television.

Musical delights will not be confined to the studio. Throughout the evening, the show will take a trip to Walford and visit EastEnders pub the Queen Vic, where Shane Richie, best known as Alfie Moon, will play host to a house band with a special guest lead vocalist.

Leaving Albert Square behind, the EastEnders cast will be showcased in a high-octane performance.

There will also be musical performances from the West End cast of Beautiful, Kinky Boots and Bend It Like Beckham.

The jazz hands will extend beyond the professionals as, for one night only, The One Show's Matt Baker and Alex Jones are transformed into West End stars to jump into the starring roles of the Rocky Horror Show.

Viewers should also look out for the Children's Choir consisting of more than 1,500 youngsters across 10 UK locations who will be coming together to sing in unison for Pudsey.

Sir Terry Wogan, BBC Children In Need life president, said: "It was my privilege to present the very first BBC Children In Need in 1980 and it remains a privilege and a pleasure to reflect the extraordinary generosity of the British public. For that's what BBC Children In Need has truly become: the People's Charity.

"Their pounds, shillings and pence, given so generously, have amounted to an extraordinary total so far of £790 million. You can imagine the difference that has made to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

"The past couple of years have produced record-breaking totals on the big night, and it's fingers crossed for another magnificent response from the British public. Tess, Fearne, Nick, Rochelle and I are looking forward to a mind-blowing evening of great entertainment on behalf of a great charity."

Further details will be revealed in due course.

:: Children In Need airs on Friday November 13 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
