Scots singer and actress Clare Grogan has admitted she is a really big fan of the BBC Scotland comedy Scot Squad - and she would even be up for a part in the cops' spoof. 

The Altered Images star regularly tweets about the show and said she love's Filth actor Jordan Young who plays PC Jack McLaren.
She said: "I love Jordan Young, I really am a big fan." 
And on appearing on the show, she added, "They can just ask me anytime. I am up for that."         Grogan is no stranger to a comedy setting having appeared as a feminist rock singer in Father Ted and she also played Kristine Kochabski in Red Dwarf. 
Scot Squad series 2 recently aired on BBC Scotland and has become a cult hit. 
The comedy is about a fictional Scottish police force and is a spoof of documentaries such as Road Wars and Police Interceptors. 
Grogan, 53, was speaking at the SSE Scottish Music Awards on Saturday where she picked up the People Make Glasgow Special Recognition Award for her role in the new wave group Altered Images.

She was among guests including The Bay City Rollers, who performed on the night and won the Sir Reo Stakis Living Legend Award.
Grogan admitted the award was such an honour, saying, "It means so much to me. I'm really excited because it is just lovely to come home.
"I have been doing this for a very long time. To be still doing this 30 plus years on makes me feel great and very emotional."
She added: "You know the thing about Scottish music is, I think we are so accepting of all different types of music in Scotland.
"We are such a musical nation, and when I started out and when I was a wee girl, seeing the Bay City Rollers on Top of the Pops made me think we can do this. 
"We are allowed and Scotland can be part of this amazing thing because there wasn't a lot of us doing it back then.
"I think we are all have our feet on the ground in Scotland. I think we get the chance to do it in our own terms. 
"I think we all remain true to that and that makes me very proud to be Glaswegian."
The bubbly author also admitted she is a fan of Glasgow band Chvrches.
She said: "I am a fan of Chvrches I have to say."
