Singer Sinead O’Connor is reportedly “safe and well” after sparking concerns by posting a troubling message on Facebook.
The Irish singer claimed she had “taken an overdose” in a message posted on her Facebook page on Sunday evening.
The post read: “There is only so much any woman can be expected to bear.
“The last two nights finished me off. I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home. I’m at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name.”
It has been reported in the Irish Mirror that police have confirmed O’Connor was been found an hour and a half after the post went up and was receiving medical attention.
O’Connor has posted a number of troubling Facebook status updates during the past few days, many of which have discuss her battle for custody of her children.
The mum-of-four singer, suffers from biopolar disorder and has spoken openly in the past about her mental health issues. She has also been hospitalised on several occasions.
