Zayn Malik has pulled out of his first solo TV appearance since he left One Direction.
The 23-year-old singer was due to pre-record an interview on Thursday that would air on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, but he cancelled due to “scheduling issues”.

The star would have taken to the sofa alongside Dad’s Army’s Catherine Zeta-Jones and Toby Jones, as well as Hollywood heavyweights Will Smith and Ryan Reynolds.
The appearance would coincide with the release of his first solo single Pillowtalk on Friday, as well as being his first time on TV since he split from the band in March 2015.
A spokeswoman for Zayn said that he was tied up in the studio working on his new solo album.

“Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts with recording commitments, Zayn’s appearance on Graham Norton has been postponed. Zayn has confirmed that he would love to appear on the show at a later date.”
Zayn has already made headlines with his steamy topless artwork for the new single and revelation that its topic is sex – a far cry from his squeaky-clean boyband days.

He has given several magazine interviews too where he talked about the reasosn why he left the band and that he is barely in contact with the others – Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson – anymore.
The foursome have evidently not forgotten about Zayn, though, as they released their music video to song History which included footage of the five of them from their journey on the X Factor to worldwide superstardom.
