The full line-up for Top Gear has been announced, with a grand total of seven presenters heading up the BBC’s flagship motoring show.
Morning from the new Top Gear team. All present and correct and smelling of eau de petrol. pic.twitter.com/y8X3uVb2uH

Motorsport guru and Formula 1 pundit Eddie Jordan, German racing driver Sabine Schmitz, motoring journalist Chris Harris and car reviewer Rory Reid will join Chris Evans alongside Friends star Matt LeBlanc, who was announced last week, and trusty sidekick The Stig. Phew – that’s a lot.
Some people just couldn’t get their heads around how many people are in the presenting team.
7 Top Gear presenters now. Guess they're going back to the wildly unpopular early Top Gear format they sold to channel 5 years ago.

I think there are probably too many people presenting the new Top Gear, unless they are focusing on buses, which I would welcome.

@BBC_TopGear rookie mistake…. Way to many presenters for 1hour program! Audience won't connect. Starting to look like Fifth gear! Rip T.G

I think they'll keep adding to the Top Gear line up, until it'll be quicker to list people who aren't Top Gear presenters. #TopGear

Seven presenters on the new Top Gear 🙈

There are way too many presenters on the new Top Gear for my liking, it's definitely gonna flop

7 people on top gear?! Literally the only thing it will have in common with the old top gear is the name 😒

Thankfully for the BBC, some fans are excited for the show to return with fresh blood:
Sabine Schmitz AND Eddie Jordan? I am very interested in the new Top Gear lineup.

Awesome news that @harrismonkey is going to be on @BBC_TopGear…can't wait!

New Top Gear team looks good. Give them a chance. The old incarnation had turned into a predictable, formulaic chat show.

I wasn't going to watch top gear. However, now it's official that @harrismonkey is a presenter that's changed!

I've waited for #SabineSchmitz to become a TG presenter….
