Indie rockers The View officially relaunched Liam Gallagher's Pretty Green store in Glasgow - with a concert.

Frontman Kyle Falconer praised the Glasgow fans for standing in the rain to see the performance. He said: “I wouldn’t expect anything less from the Glasgow fans. Glasgow fans are better than Dundonians, we are allowed to say that.”

He added that it was a privilege to perform in Gallagher’s store saying, “Who isn’t an Oasis fan in Scotland? They are the biggest band in the world.”

Eager fans queued for hours to see the lads’ show. Danielle Philbin travelled from Perth for the gig and has been following the band since their debut album Hats Off to the Buskers. She said: “I saw them seven times last year in fact they know who I am. They are just so personable.

Fellow fan Lynsey Thom explained she met her friend Danielle through The View. The friends call themselves the Viewettes, and Lynsey added: “I can’t wait to see them again.”
