Ruth Langsford got ready to bare her legs to the sun by having a spray tan live on TV.
The host of This Morning was concerned about her pale legs, so decided to have her legs spray tanned in front of the Loose Women studio audience.
My legs are far too white to get out this sunny weekend ahead…..@loosewomen are sorting it though! See you 12.30 pic.twitter.com/WQBw06AFu1

But while Sherrie Hewson suggested she should take her clothes and wear a paper thong, Ruth decided against that – and instead kept her beige dress on.

She may have some unusual tan lines…
Watching lovely @RuthieeL getting a spray tan fully clothed is quite odd! Hope they didn't ruin your dress!

Ruth admitted she “hated” her knees, saying: “I’m feeling very exposed. Look at me! I’ve got white legs and fat knees.”
But many viewers just could not understand why Ruth was feeling insecure.
@loosewomen @RuthieeL What a lovely set of pins – she doesn't seem to realise how lucky she is!

Heading into the booth for her brief tanning session, with beautician Francesca, Ruth was hesitant – and surprised at the cool temperature of the spray tan.
The segment answered some viewers’ questions.
My Son has just had the question "what is fake tan?" (originally created by @Rylan) answered by @loosewomen 😘 💅 🌌
