Rapper Pitbull played down suggestions he may enter the world of politics after meeting Donald Trump, as he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 35-year-old hip-hop star recently revealed that Mr Trump flew him by helicopter to his West Palm Beach resort in Florida, but insists he is not a supporter of the US presidential hopeful.
Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, told reporters: “Do we really want to be the President of the United States of America? Or do we want to be the biggest celebrity in the world? I think we all clearly see what the answer is to that.”

Asked whether he had aspirations for a future political career, he added: “There’s too things my grandmother taught me – which we didn’t do good today – don’t talk politics and don’t talk religion.”
Pitbull, who was born in Miami to Cuban parents, fought back tears as he was awarded the 2,584th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Dozens of fans gathered on Hollywood Boulevard to watch the ceremony honouring the rap star, whose hits include Give Me Everything featuring Ne-Yo and Timber, his collaboration with singer Kesha.
Speaking on stage, Pitbull said: “For me it’s never been about money, it’s never been about fame, it’s been about a journey.
“It’s about our culture. It’s about coming from nothing to something. It’s about being the prime example of what the American dream is and what is embodies.”
