Coronation Street’s Jim McDonald could be back on the cobbles.
Actor Charles Lawson hinted to The Sun online that viewers could see his character soon.

“I speak to Simon [Gregson, who plays Steve McDonald] every fortnight or every week in fact, and he always lets me know what’s going on and I believe there’s the possibility of something happening sort of over the winter time,” he said.

Jim is due to get out of prison – he was jailed for holding up a bank – in 2018, but his comments have left viewers wondering whether he could be back on the soap earlier.
Simon’s character is Charles’ on-screen son.
Asked about the prospect of the pair being on-screen together, he said: “I think so, there are rumours around that there might be something to do with something I can’t really discuss. Watch this space.”
