GLASGOW’S reality show Glow’s first Christmas special will air this month.

Production company GRTV confirmed that the show, which has been dubbed the city’s answer to TOWIE and Made in Chelsea, will broadcast its Christmas special via the dedicated website and app on December 22 at 9pm.

The cast and crew have already began filming the Christmas show, and scenes have been shot at M&D’s theme park and Glasgow’s Christmas markets.

The Christmas special comes after season one, which has six episodes, came to an end last month.

Glow’s thirteen cast members including Merchant City nightclub owner Brian Matthews, professional boxer Paddy Reilly, ex-WAG and hairdresser Lauren McDonald, personal trainer James English, roofing company owner James Drummond, club promoter Tommy McFarlane, nurse Stephanie Rankin, bar manager Denise Wilkie, social media manager Joanne Ferry, bar maid Jemma McMahon and make-up artist Leanne Jefferey have also been busy shooting a calender which will be on sale for fans to buy.

Highlights of the calendar include Jemma in boxing gloves ready to knock out love rivals and a steamy shot of heartthrob Paddy doing the ironing in his boxers.

The tongue-in-cheek calendar also features memorable moments and quotes from the first series of the show which has been an internet success racking up more than 500,000 streams.

Stephanie Docherty, who is the producer of Glow, said: “It’s a great Christmas novelty item and perfect for a Secret Santa or just to wind up friends.

“It features famous phrases along with standout moments and group shots of the cast.

“We had great fun photographing it and I hope people will enjoy the monthly Glasgow banter.”

Season two of Glow is expected to air next year with the producers already on the hunt for new characters.

Viewers can catch up on the show or buy the calender costing £6 plus postage via Glow’s official website www.glasglow.tv
