THE XpoNorth Seedlings Stage line-up for this year’s Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival has been revealed.

As ever, it is packed with an incredibly diverse range of emerging artists and some very special guests.

Glasgow band wojtek the bear are raring to go.

Frontman Tam Killean said: “We can’t wait to be back at Bella again, playing the Seedlings Stage last year was one of our favourite ever shows.

“We’re in the middle of touring our new album, a talent for being unreasonable, at the minute so we’ll mostly be playing songs from the record whilst praying it rains so we get as many people into the tent as possible.”

Glasgow-based Acrylic have also been added to the bill.

The band said: “We can’t wait for Belladrum. We played the MusicPlus stage a few years back and had an amazing weekend but said that next time we came we’d be on the Seedlings Stage.

“We also just played XpoNorth to a packed out Hootananny, so Inverness is fast becoming one of our favourite spots.”

This year will see a very strong Highland contingent with Lional, The Dazed Digital Age and The Strives all making an appearance on the Seedlings Stage.

Canada’s The Burning Hell and one of Edinburgh’s finest bands, Broken Records, will also both be joining the bill.

Other acts confirmed include Stephanie Cheape, Love Sick, Beta Waves, LaKyoto, Bad Mannequins, Emily Burns, King Kobalt, The Dunts, Folda, Alligator, Dancing on Tables, Retro Video Club, Anchor Lane, Parliamo and Fauves.

Evening Times favourites The Van T’s are also set to appear.

From the band, Hannah Van Thomson said: "We are really looking forward to be a part of Belladrum this year.

"We have never played the festival and are looking forward to see what it has to offer and hopefully people have the same view, to see what we have to offer.

"Expect glitter and a dance."

Festival director Joe Gibbs said: “We are delighted to be continuing our long-established relationship with XpoNorth who have yet again pulled together an incredible line-up of some of the most exciting acts from Scotland and further afield.”

Alex Smith, XpoNorth project manager, added: “Belladrum has a firmly established reputation as an excellent platform for connecting audiences with the best new talent and we’re particularly excited with the list of acts set to perform on our stage this year.”
