Rustie

Pollokshields boy Rustie is a strong advocate of the "more is more" philosophy.

His tunes are littered with electronic screeches and bleeps that really have no need to be there, but their jarring presence makes the songs what they are.

His latest album, Green Language, has bass-heavy hooks clashing with futuristic synth warbles: it's a sound that has set him apart as one of the most unique and forward-thinking producers in the UK, garnering consistently brilliant reviews.

Support comes from London-based Nightwave, who combines UK bass and '80s funk to devastating effect.

She's one of the Red Bull Music Academy's most outstanding alumni and recently switched bases from Glasgow to London - not a bad decision, if you ask me.

This early doors gig will make you dance and melt your mind in equal measure, so please make sure not to miss it, OK?

Afterwards, Lithuanian deep house producer Ten Walls takes over The Arches with his spectacular AV show.

Ben Klock

A typically enormous weekend on Jamaica Street kicks off tonight with a first-ever Subbie appearance for drum and bass hero Andy C.

The pioneering Englishman is internationally renowned as a force in his genre, achieving notoriety with sold out gigs at Electric Brixton and the Brixton Academy.

But his influence extends far wider than South London: he's dominated the main stage of Electric Daisy Carnival in the US and Radio 1's Hackney Weekender - and then there's the small matter of playing to 85,000 people at Glastonbury.

For a weekend warmup, it doesn't really get any bigger.

Then, tomorrow night, Teutonic techno titan Ben Klock stops by for what should be an incredible session at Animal Farm.

The Berliner is one of the biggest names in techno and a regular at Berghain, but be warned that there's only a very limited number of tickets available on the door.

Saturday's Subculture and Tuesday's i Am are both residents-only, then on Wednesday at Sub Rosa, Heidi returns to Glasgow after impressing at Pressure in January.

€¢ Andy C, tonight, Sub Club, 11pm - 3am, £10

€¢ Ben Klock, tomorrow, Sub Club, 11pm - 4am, £18

€¢ Heidi, Wednesday, Sub Club, 11pm - 3am, £8

TYCI

Two very different aftershow parties are in store this week for indie kids.

On Saturday, The Record Factory hosts an after-bash for Morrissey's gig at the Hydro, with '90s indie gurus Madchester on the decks.

Then, on Wednesday, TYCI supplement their regular Saturday slot at Stereo with the after show for reunited riot women Sleater-Kinney.

After a 10-year absence, the trio, known for their strong support of feminism and left-leaning ideals, are conquering everything in their path, making them and TYCI a perfect match.

Their March gig features live music from Pennycress and Divorce's VSO on DJ duties.
