WE'RE about to be re-united, and it feels so good:

after what feels like an eternity, proper weekly clubbing is coming back to The Arches.

This coming weekend makes up for the barren summer period with a knockout pair of parties featuring some of the most banging beatmakers in the country.

It kicks off tomorrow night with Carl Cox, patron of The Arches and one of electronic music's true veterans.

Fresh from this year's annual Ibiza residency - during which he invited rising local duo Illyus and Barrientos to play his party at Space - his name alone should be enough to convince any self-respecting dance fan that this is where they need to be tomorrow.

The following night, things get a little grittier as the Hardstyle Superheroes roll into town.

Two of the Netherlands' choice names - Noizecontrollers and Psyko Punkz - are sure to blow the roof off the place with a salvo of thumping, sweaty hardstyle.

And midweek, Shangri-La welcomes Neapolitan house DJ Riva Starr for a student-friendly rave up.

n Carl Cox and John Rundell, tomorrow, The Arches, 10pm - 3am, £25

n Hardstyle Superheroes, Saturday, The Arches, 10pm - 3am, £16

n Shangri-La with Riva Starr, Wednesday, The Arches, 11pm - 3am, £5

Vincent's vibes

LA Cheetah's three-month long fifth birthday celebrations kick off tomorrow with a set from the hugely influential New York deep house DJ Levon Vincent.

Now based in Berlin, he's been behind the house renaissance that's swept NYC recently, so you can bet on this being an absolute classic.

Sticking with that theme, superior Tuesday nighter iAM celebrates turning four on Tues with those local legends who need no introduction, Optimo. Expect a mad one.

n Levon Vincent, tomorrow, La Cheetah, 11pm - 4am, £10

n iAM 4th Birthday with Optimo, Tuesday, Sub Club, 11pm - 3am, £5

Crazy night

MIXMAG are the curators of this free party at the Arty tomorrow, which features emerging Norwegian star Finne-bassen as the headliner.

A proponent of dirty, melancholic Scandinavian house, he's joined by Swedish house man Jonas Rathsman and underground disco collective Crazy P Soundsystem.

Also up that end of town tomorrow is the launch of Franz Ferdinand's Late Night Tales compilation, which takes place at The Berkeley Suite.

Here, you'll find the band's Paul Thomson spinning vinyl and cultivating weird and intriguing vibes alongside Wild Combination's David Barbarossa.

n Crazy P Soundsystem, tomorrow, The Art School, 11pm - 3am, free

n Franz Ferdinand DJ set, tomorrow, The Berkeley Suite, 11pm - 3am, £5

Pretty things

A PAIR of ever-popular club nights mark very different milestones in the coming days.

For The Admiral's ever-suave Pretty Ugly, it's the September Issue - a night to stick on the finest, or most ridiculous glad rags you own and dance the night away to a soundtrack of amazing indie and pop tunes.

Up at the Buff, Tuesday sees the evergreen Killer Kitsch celebrate its stunning 500th appearance. Having seen off nu-rave, dubstep, electroclash and countless other genres in its time, expect them to stick to what they do best: house, electro and disco all night long. Here's to the next 500.

n Pretty Ugly: The September Issue, Saturday, The Admiral, 11pm - 3am, £6

n The 500th Killer Kitsch, Tuesday, Buff Club, 11pm - 3am, £5
