WE used to make everything in Glasgow:

the world's finest ships, steam engines and tools were once built in the city.

How times have changed: now it's semiconductors, indie pop and bespoke denims that Glasgow is famous for: along with homegrown music that is keeping the country, and further afield, up all night dancing.

This night celebrates some of the very best talent that our city has to offer - even if, like the Barcelona-based headliner Funk D'Void, they've swapped the West of Scotland for sunnier climes.

Also on the bill is the Rebecca Vasmant.

A cutting edge techno DJ and Ministry of Sound World Tour headliner, Glaswegian Rebecca is used to filling dancefloors across every continent - catch her in Saint Judes' intimate basement while you have the chance.

Support comes from resident DJ, Bosco.

l Made In Glasgow, with Funk D'Void, tomorrow, Saint Judes, Bath Street, 10pm-3am, £8

Scuba and Bez

FRESH from killing it at Coachella - California's warmer, slightly hipper answer to T in the Park - Londoner Scuba arrives at the Subbie tomorrow on the crest of a wave.

The Berlin-based DJ has been one of the biggest names in electronic music since his 2012 album Personality took over dancefloors across the world.

A former indie band member, he's moved on from his dubstep roots but that's only made him more popular - check out his record label Hotflush's Soundcloud for a preview of his new EP ahead of this Sub Club set.

And tonight, next door at the Classic Grand, there's a rare chance to get ravey with Madchester loon Bez.

His acid house sets are never disappointing - at last year's Glastonbury it ended with him losing his front teeth into the crowd.

l Scuba, tomorrow, Sub Club, Jamaica Street, 11pm-3am, £10

l Northside Afterparty with Bez's Acid House, tonight, Classic Grand, 11.30pm-3am, £7

Bonkers Bowie

DJ George Bowie isn't the most sophisticated cultural export Glasgow has to offer, but he's one of the most beloved.

A Saturday night radio staple across the West of Scotland, his subjects go mental for everything he does. That includes his frequent live appearances, which are almost always sold out and completely chaotic.

If you want to experience Glaswegian clubbing at its biggest, rawest and most unrefined, get yourself along to The Arches on Saturday.

Meanwhile, tomorrow, the more obscure Flight Facilities take over the Midland Street venue.

This Australian duo had a semi-successful spell in 2010, with the excellent Crave You, a slice of downtempo hipster electronic pop.

This tour has seen them concentrate more on remixes and newer work, so expect more of a deep house vibe.

l Flight Facilities, tomorrow, The Arches, 11pm-3am, £12.50

l GBX Old Skool Anthems, Saturday, The Arches, 9pm-3am, £20

Dahl delights...

OFFICIALLY pegged as "A Night Dedicated to the Work and Splendour of Roald Dahl," this indie party also promises movie screenings, free toast.

It's held at our favourite indie disco, The Flying Duck, and I'm as much looking forward to re-enacting my childhood as I am the Dahl-themed shots.

l Glue Club: Roald Dahl Night, tomorrow, The Flying Duck, Renfield Street, 11pm - 3am, free
