Thousands of ravers turned up for day one of the Electric Frog & Pressure Riverside Festival - and their reaction was a positive one.

Music festivals are about the fans so we asked them how they felt about this year's event and who they were looking forward to seeing.

Martin Nolan, from Hillington, attended the event last year and decided to come back to see this year's offering.

He said: "Weather is rubbish but the line-up is better. It is a better crowd with the underground scene attending."

Lewis McWilliams, from Knightswood, added: "It seems better organised this year. I was here last year. It is much better, there are more bars and more toilets. Line-up is better."

Jamie Anderson, from Clydebank, decided to come to the festival for the first time after attending a lot of Pressure events in Glasgow.

He said: "It is good to have a focal point for all the acts. It is such a melting pot so many different types of folk come to this.

"We have our own club night Unity on June 6 so it is good to see all the other DJs in action and what they do."

Andy Rose, from Hillington, added: "There is better music and stages than last year - and it seems busier."

Clare Smyth, from East Kilbride, returned for a second year saying, "I like the set up this year. I am looking forward to Len Faki. I am looking forward Sven Vath tomorrow."

John Willmott, from Clackmannanshire, said: "Last year was absolutely amazing, and this year has been good so far although I haven't been here long enough to decide.

"Sven Vath will be overcrowded tomorrow but then if they didn't close the Arches people would not be relying on these events."

Catherine Phillips, from Glasgow, visited the event for the first time.

We caught her during a sunny spell and she said: "It is a lovely weather, a great venue, its right by the river, its beautiful and it is well run so far.

"I am here to see Julio Bashmore."

Lucy Devaney, from Barrhead, "I am disappointed that Floorplan were suppose to be here. The one reason I got a ticket and they are not.

"But I am still having a good time and I am looking forward to seeing Julio Bashmore."

Deborah Hair, from Angus, said: "It is a great event but we are in Glasgow and it rains so I would like to see more covers. There is only one food bar why aren't they supporting local food when so many local acts are playing?"
