WHEN it comes to causin' it, Electric Frog and Pressure are pretty much the undisputed Glaswegian godfathers.

Saturday sees the two teaming up to curate this one-day outdoor festival, which has a line-up that might make even the most hard-to-please hipster salivate.

Hamburg electro house producer Boys Noize headlines alongside beat-maker extraordinaire Jamie xx, Moscow's Nina Kraviz bringing her gritty, muscular sounds, and Frog favourite Len Faki brings the German techno.

On top of that, Slam, Optimo and Auntie Flo pop up elsewhere, while XY take care of the afterparty at Saint Judes.

l Electric Frog & Pressure Riverside Festival with Boys Noize, Saturday, Riverside Museum, 4pm - 11pm, £30

l Official Afterparty with XY, Saint Judes, 11pm - 3am, £5 with festival stamp

Party in the Park

AFTER the alleged chaos that engulfed Bellahouston Park at Saturday's Avicii gig, tread carefully if you plan on heading to this bank holiday weekend spectacular in Strathclyde Park.

Likely to attract the same hard-partying, hard-nut audience as his fellow Swede, the ex-Swedish House Mafia don plies a brand of progressive electro house that is irresistible - pure fistpump fuel. His Size Records labelmates AN21 and Max Vangeli, Qulinez, Third Part and Wayne and Woods also play their part.

The following night, EDM's Tommy Trash hits The Arches. His 2011 anthem The End still destroys dancefloors the world over, so prepare yourself for a vintage Arches experience.

l Size in the Park with Steve Angello, tomorrow, Strathclyde Park, 1.30pm - 10.30pm, £34.50

l Tommy Trash, Saturday, The Arches, 11pm - 3am, £20

Charity all-dayer

FEATURING one of the city's most exciting new house and techno acts, We Love Fundays all-day party also benefits MacMillan Cancer Support and the Beatson Institute.

The line-up includes the excellent house duo Mia Dora, venerable veteran Mash, and Fundays resident Vilmos.

If there's a better way to cancel out the inevitable Monday morning guilt, then I can't think of it.

l We Love Fundays Charity All Dayer with Mia Dora, Sunday, Mini Bar, 2pm - 11pm, Saint Judes 11pm - 3am, £6

G's birthday treat

HUMBLE folks that they are, Thunder Disco Club don't buy into the whole anniversary shtick, but for their fourth birthday they've only gone and got Mr G.

The UK disco/house/bit of everything producer is prolific indeed, but he doesn't make live appearances round here all that often, meaning a pretty special birthday for the wonderfully sleazy disco and house night.

l Thunder Disco Club's 4th Birthday Bounce, tomorrow, Sub Club, 11pm - 3am, £12

SPEAKING of sleazy anniversaries, tomorrow La Cheetah hosts a birthday bash in celebration of the thriving Glaswegian techno label.

Launched in 2008 by Hans Bouffmyhre, it continues to put out some of the best underground stuff coming out of Scotland. This showcase features bosses Hans and Lex Gorrie alongside American techno heavyhitter Kyle Geiger.

l Sleaze Records' 5th Birthday with Kyle Geiger, tomorrow, La Cheetah, 11pm - 3am, £5
