It's been a special month for the Subbie.
They've seen their pop-up venue, the Sub Hub, become an instant success; its workshops, discussions and parties proving popular beyond the dance music community.
A prime example: a couple of weeks back, the broadcaster Stuart Cosgrove launched his new book Detroit '67 in the hub, with Subculture favourite Harri and veteran spinner Nick Peacock playing obscure and amazing soul songs straight from Cosgrove's unrivalled record collection.
This weekend, the club will host the 21st birthday of Subculture, perhaps the longest-running party in clubbing history.
Ralph Lawson, head of the 2020Vision label, posted an excellent history of his early experiences with Harri and Domenic's legendary night.
"It's been an inspiration and a benchmark constantly," he said.
"The crowd at The Sub Club were the most intense thing I had ever witnessed.
The venue's low ceiling kept all the noise in and you were only inches away from the people on the dancefloor in the booth.
They were shouting so loudly you could hardly hear the next track in your headphones to mix."
Of course, everyone's excited about t, but it's how chilled the Subbie comes across that makes it the coolest and most important club in Glasgow even after all these years.
It's the consistent excellence of its bookings, combined with a lack of hyperbole and shout in its dealings.
It's like: "yeah, we've got the longest-running night ever but let's stick to our guns, get the regulars on and get on with it" - proof positive that substance always wins out over style.
