Oscars host Chris Rock has made no decisions about his opening monologue at the Academy Awards.

Rock's publicist Leslie Sloane, in a statement on Monday, rejected earlier comments by Academy Awards co-producer Reginald Hudlin that Rock had scrapped earlier plans and was rewriting the show following the backlash to the all-white acting nominees.

Ms Sloane said Rock "has made no decisions about the content of the show".

She added that "all will be revealed on February 28".

Rock is yet to comment about the crisis that has surrounded the Academy Awards except for an earlier post on Twitter that referred to the Oscars as "the white BET Awards".
