Disney has released two teaser trailers for new film Alice Through The Looking Glass featuring Alan Rickman’s instantly recognisable voice.
The late actor returned to the role of the Blue Caterpillar in the final film he completed before his death on January 14.
“You’ve been gone too long, Alice. There are matters which might benefit from your attention. Friends cannot be neglected,” he intones ominously.
The film hosts a plethora of the best of British talent, with Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat and the new roles of part-human, part-clock character Time, played by Sacha Baron Cohen, and Zanik Hightopp by Rhys Ifans.
In the new film, Alice (Mia Wasikowska)- freshly back from her adventures in Asia – must return to Wonderland and travel back in time to save the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) from the Chronosphere, a device that powers time itself.
Anne Hathaway, Michael Sheen and Matt Lucas also star in the James Bobin directed sequel to the 2010 Tim Burton film.
Alice Through The Looking Glass is scheduled for release on May 27.
