Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice has hung on to the top spot at the US box office – but its days might be numbered.
The superhero flick starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill had risen above a raft of bad reviews to become the number one movie across the pond.

But it seems word of mouth might be its kryptonite as it fell a steep 68% in its second weekend in cinemas, according to studio estimates on Sunday.
The film earned an estimated $52.4 million (£36.8 million), bringing its Stateside total to $261.5 million (£183.7 million).
Luckily for Ben and co, the film’s haul was enough to keep it on top and it crushed new openers like God’s Not Dead 2, which opened in fourth with $8.1 million (£5.6 million), and The Purge parody Meet The Blacks, which earned only $4.1 million (£2.8 million).
