Chris Evans’ latest Captain America movie has hung on to the top spot at the US box office.
Captain America: Civil War took a hefty $72.5 million (£50.5 million) from 4,226 screens, bringing its total in America to $295.9 million (£206 million).
In just two weekends in cinemas, the film has already passed the total US gross of Captain America: Winter Soldier by over $35 million (£24.4 million).
The Jungle Book placed second with $17.8 million (£12.4 million).
George Clooney and Julia Roberts’ Money Monster got off to a healthy start, securing third place with $15 million (£10.5 million).

The movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last week.
